The average person is unaware of the exclusive little pocket in Ivanhoe known as Fairy Hills. But those who know it, revere it. Fairy Hills has been home to some of the countries leading artists and architects like Christian and Napier Waller and Harold Desbrowe-Annear to name a few. We feel it’s one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets located amongst Ivanhoe’s parks and leafy streets, with an artistic history worth celebrating.

Ology used a series of vintage botanical photographs to reference both the
creative history of Fairy Hills and the nature the project is surrounded by.
An area of Melbourne filled with secret gardens and hidden worlds, the photography brief was to capture the special spots only the locals know about. The parts of Ivanhoe that feel inherently artistic and ideal.
The unusual pairing of bright rose-red and deep forest green made for an eye-catching site hoarding boosting registrations & enquiry and directing purchasers to the display.
By telling the story of Fairy Hill’s artistic, bohemian past, Ology embedded the project with a sophisticated sense of wonder and character. This combined with the bold colour palette, premium collateral and clear communication contributed to strong early sales.
